Chicken korma-chicken korma recipe
Chicken korma is a delicious and tasty dish.creamy chicken korma is made in indian style.there are many ways to making chicken korma but the indian chicken korma recipe is best and easy.this is a one of easiest & and most delicious chicken korma made with yogurt and onions as base.it can be served with rice,naan,pratha or roti. naan is best combination of it.
About 45-50 minutes are required to make it.
Ingredients:
- 500 gram chicken (bone-in)
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 tsp red chili (optional,just for color purpose)
- 3 tsp coriander leaves.
- 2 pinches turmeric or haldi.
- 3 tsp yogurtor curd.
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste for marination.
- 1 tsp garam masala or korma masala.
- 1.5 tsp red chili powder
- salt as needed.
- 2 tsp oil or ghee.
- 2 green cardamoms.
- 1 cup onions sliced.
- 6 cashews
- 4 almonds.
- 4 tsp yougurt.
- 1 tsp small bay leaf (tej patta).
- 4 cloves or laung.
- 2 inch cinnamon (darchini)
- 1 cardamom or elaichi.
- 1 cup water for gravy.
- salt for gravy as needed.
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
Preparation:
1.Marination for chicken korma recipe:
Marinate chicken with curd,ginger,garlic paste,turmeric,salt,red chili powder and garam masala.Chicken is marinated just tenderize it.cover this and place aside for 30 minutes.2.Make onion paste:
Heat a pan with oil and add cardamoms.add sliced onions and fry them until golden brown color appeared.add cashews and almond.cool these completely.add cooled onions and nut in a blender jar.add yogurt as well.Make a smooth paste of these and set it aside.How to make chicken korma:
To the same pan,add 1 tsp oil and heat it.saute bay leaf,cinnamon stick,cloves and cardamom in oil for a minute.add green chili too.add marinated chicken.fry on medium het until raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes away.add the onion curd paste.pour 1 cup water and mix well,add salt,coriander powder and garam masala.if desired you can also add chili powder for color.cover and cook on low flame until chicken is cooked to tender.cook further till the gravy reaches desired consistency.Garnish with coriander leaves. serve chicken corma with plain rice,naan,roti or Pratha.naan is recomended.
